Workshop Training Materials

The following represent internal workshops that I have designed and facilitated:

  • How to Ask and Answer Questions: A Trainer’s Perspective: Focused on why trainers ask questions, how to ask questions, the three types of questions and when to use them, how to encourage participants to ask questions, and how to answer them effectively. Deliverables: PowerPoint slide deck and Participant Workbook
  • Group Dynamics: Focused on Bruce Tuckman’s distinct phases of group development (forming, storming, norming, and performing).  I also facilitated a Desert Survival exercise as part of this workshop. Deliverables: PowerPoint slide deck and Participant Guide
  • SMEs+IDs+Trainers = A Formula for Success: Facilitated this workshop that focused on the roles of subject matter experts, instructional designers and trainers in the content development and delivery process. Deliverables: PowerPoint slide deck
  • Understanding Learning Objectives: A Roadmap for Designing Effective Training Programs: This workshop was designed to help new Trainers, SMEs, and Instructional designers understand the role of learning objectives and how to write SMART objectives. It also included an activity I wrote which was designed to help the participants understand what happens when learning objectives are not defined up front.
